Eyes of Autumn diorama by James
This was a special project, and a very difficult one! The idea was to replicate the "Eyes of Autumn" painting by Larry Elmore, using the two minis, and a whole lot of sculpy :-) The cabin and all the other extras were sculpted and painted seperately, which was a logistical nightmare. It took about an hour to clean up my workroom when all the landscaping was completed. Each corn stalk is made from actual corn husks. It took a few tries to figure out how to make them, but they look more realistic as a result. Given the nature of the painting, my color scheme was very limited. I could not place or build every last thing as it appeared in the painting, but the close up view of this diorama captures the essentials. I have provided a second view of this diorama, for all those who would like to see more.
