BLOODWOLVES OF KHORNE, Warriors of Chaos
THE BLOODWOLF CLAN The Bloodwolves of Khorne come from Kurgan stock, some of the most ruthless and bloodthirsty warriors to ever exist. It is said that hundreds of years ago the clan was beset by a pack of rabid, six legged animals who succeeded in slaughtering every fourth warrior in the clan. Though small in stature, the razor sharp teeth and ferocious nature of these beasts impressed the clan leader, and he ordered the remaining animals captured. Since then, the Bloodwolves have bred and harnessed these creatures in battle. When the leader of the clan is killed, the clan will wander the wastes searching for battle until they find a new, worthy leader. Sometimes the chief will emerge from within the tribes own ranks, and other times they find outsiders who are blessed by Khorne and endowed with great prowess. This was the case when Abrax the Bloodthirst found these warriors. They had thrown themselves into battle near the Shrine of a Thousand Eyes, with the single minded bloodlust that they would die at the hands of the Tzeentchian warrior who guarded the shrine or one amongst them would rise and assume leadership. Abrax instead came, falling upon the guardians of the shrine first and utterly destroying them. He then turned his bloodlust on the Bloodwolves, and for three days and three nights the warriors fought the champion. By the third day, it became clear to the Bloodwolves that this was indeed a chosen warrior of the blood god, and they turned upon those of their brethren who still fought, killing them. From that day forward they have devoted complete loyalty to Abrax, so long as he continues to lead the band against worthy adversaries.
