NOSTRA DAMUS, CELESTIAL WIZARD
Nostra Damus, an astromancer of the third tier of Azyr, physician and reputed seer. Born to a merchant family, Nostra found his calling after attending the College of the Heavens (sometimes referred to as the Celestial College) in Altdorf, but was forced to leave after just over a year when the university closed due to an outbreak of the plague. It was not the plague that stuck this period as intriguing for Nostra, but the fact that he had entered a deep trance prior to the outbreak and was able to warn the college, and the empire, of the impending doom. During this absence from the college, he worked as an apothecary for several years, dabbling in his small ability to manipulate herbs and attempting to assist the empire in finding a cure for the devastating plague. Continuing his studies, Nostra also began working as an astrologer for various wealthy patrons across the empire, using his found abilities to read the stars and to see the potential future. It was exactly this work that found him at the court of Elector Count Alberich Haupt-Andersenn in Wurtbad on a dreary summer evening. As he engaged with the Count, discussing mundane things such as when the Count would have another child, Nostra entered into a trance unlike any he had had previously. Nostra was said to have remained, seated, in this trance for nearly two days before blinking his eyes and awaking with a look of pure fear in his eyes. "He is coming...." was all he managed to say, but it was enough.
