This is my first Canoness I painted and I have had for a few years. The original icon she carries was lost almost immediately. I used a Chaos space marine gloved hand for a replacement and gave her a 'Book of St. Lucius' to hold up before any Daemon that she may face to assure her faith and determination against such beasts of chaos. I went for a simple base, replacing the original blank base with gravel, I put her on a more simple 'Industrial' base with deck plating to match some of our battleship terrain. if that's a book, it evokes more the "Necronomicon" than the "Book of St Lucius"

The book is great and adds a lot of character. The paint work is clean, but could use some more shading to create depth, especially on the hair. Very nice work.
