Northumbrian Theng Warrior, Jórvík, 866

Hello everybody, I am glad to show you my new project, a collaboration with the famous brand FeR Miniatures. In fact, we are continuing the series of mini busts on 1/16 scale, with Middle Age subjects at the moment. This time our intention was to capture a historical moment that marked the successive centuries throughout Europe, namely the capture of York by the Vikings led by Ivar The Boneless, which took place on November 1st, 866 AD . The bust in these photos is a Northumbrian chieftain warrior. Alexander Dreymon, the protagonist of the series The Last Kingdom (which is based on the same historical theme) served me as an inspiration for the beginning, but in the process of working, I only came up with the idea of presenting a young warrior with the features of the classic physiognomy, an idea that contrasts the already christianized Kingdom of Northumbria with the pagan world of the Vikings. The materials I used were the following : Milliput Yellow-Grey, greenstuff and Magic Sculpt
