The Coryphaeus

Ok, maybe I should say at least something ;) This one was FUN to paint, although it took me longer than I expected. The colorscheme might look a bit weird on an undead, but hey - I want a special army ;) and of course he's some special lifeform (or undeadform?) existing in a twisted world most of his time and that makes people appear strange - at least I can figure that ;) (hey, I've seen a lot of geeks in my life already!) I'm not that happy how the face turns out on the picture, it's far better in Reality because it's not that dark an blueish, more purple and most important more greyish, a bit rotten. To be honest I was too lazy to redo it in a lighter grey, and also this would have meant to risk that - although it looks right on the foto - it looks too bright in reality... I'm very fond of the sword, it came out really dull and rusty - ages old. Personally I think this is my best paintjob so far and I belive not having seen this mini painted by any one else yet helped a lot because I had to come up with a scheme of my own. I should be a bit more self confident when it comes down to chosing a scheme ;) and oh, yes... when I had the base almost finished I tried a little something. on the third pic from top you can see the edge of the base where I tried to paint stars on - I know this is nothing spectacular, but does it look credible? Well, let me know what you think, please!

Un exemple pour tous les autres peintres! Que de détails, les couleurs sont superbes. RIen à dire. Peut-être une base correspondant plus à un mort-vivant; la tienne est déjà très bien. Félicitations, je repars peindre le mien.

This is the first painted example of this mini that I've seen and it's stunning - makes me want to pick up my paintbrush straight away! Seriously fantastic work.
