I'm almost embarassed to post this one. It's mostly metal, and drybrushed at that. Oddly, it still looks OK.

Holy blades Batman! The blade looks more like slate than metal (rough). If the casting is rough, it would be worth your while to file/sand your blade smoother. You can also sharpen and straighten the sharp edge with a file. Try to add a little water to your paint for thinner coats. Other than the blade, its still pleasing to the eye. Keep working at it.

What happened with the sword: There was a large notch sculpted in the blade, and I wanted a big, solid falchion. I tried to fill it in with 'green stuff', but it just didn't come out right.

Overall the paintwork on the figiure is good. However it's the sword that's the downfall. I can't tell if iot's the paint or the casting but the flat of the blade looks really mottled as if the paint's dried halfway through or not been thinned enough. You could always try to burnish the sword blade up instead of painting it. On something this large it should work quite well.
