Another ebay project: this time a Limited Edition Space Marine Captain painted as a Dark Angel. I am very pleased with how this mini turned out. Painting the banner proved to be quite challenging...I've never put so much detail into a banner this size. As always I'd appreciate any and all feedback.

Nice work. The NMM gold doesn't seem to be quite 'there', but the robes are fantastic; the shading is perhaps a little heavy on the back, but a nice homespun look. Incidentally, this guy hasn't been a Ltd Ed for quite some time. He's available straight off the shelf now.

Bizarrely I think the banner is the bit that lets the miniature down. Its pretty competent and I can't do any better, but next to all the amazing freehand on this site it suffers a little. Having siad that I really like your miniature and think the painting is really crisp and nice, and the use of bright blue on top of the standard DA colours is very striking. I think the 7.4 you have at the moment is ungenerous
