Scratchbuilt (green stuff) Samurai (Doji Kuwanan)

I made this out of green stuff to match the excellent illustrations of Doji Kuwanan (AEG:Clan War). As I havent yet sculpted the accessories (swords, helmet, banners etc.), I left the paint job about half finished. Posted here just to get some feedback *regarding the sculpt*. When the mini is fully equipped and mounted I will definitely add more detail. Note: The Clan War range are being rereleased by Reaper under the label "Rokugan". --------- More Samurai stuff at: http://www.kendoka.com (The Samurai Miniatures Site)

Thanx for the feedback. About the brow being "sculpted in an expression of surprise" - haven't thought about that - but when you mention it, yeah. About the chin being (too) large. This was made by purpose (look at the illustration in the lower left corner of the image above), Doji Kuvanan was borne that way (or perhaps he ate too much steroid-sushi).

I like the pose, it has a very forbidding "you shall not pass" look. Your warrior is very stout and sturdy. I would love to see it finished. The chin is a little large, not too big of a deal. I only scored an 8 so, I can go higher when you post the update!! Seriously good stuff!

I think this miniature would have been improved by some exaggerated leg length. As well, the face doesn't match. The chin is too large and the brow is sculpted in an expresson of surprise. Other then that, very good.
