Fantasy Terrain: Mage Knight Display Table

Built this piece on contract for WizKids. Supposedly it's in their lobby... The rocks and trees are scratch built from sound board, sponge foliage, and rope (no styrofoam here, thank you!). The sound board is basically shredded paper, so it tears a nice ragged edge. I then soaked the sound board with white glue to make it rock hard. The ruins are made from Mage Knight castle pieces, wedding cake columns, and scratch built from wood and cardboard. The water was done with Woodland Scenics Realistic Water, colored with acrylics. You might be able to spot an amazon mini or two in there if you look real close...

Now this is more what terrain should be about and this fully deserves a 10. None of that modular "buy it in kit form" tosh, a proper hand built, scratch built, detailed, imaginative and well executed piece. Would love to see osme cloe ups of the trees and other vegetation though and maybe a touch more weatheirng could be used in places. I'd give it a 9.8 but i cant, so it has to be a 10, certianly better than a 9!
