Northumbrian Winter
It's been a while since I've posted anything new to the gallery. Here's a 54mm historical piece I painted for the Crystal Brush competition. I made a few conversions to the figure like moving the shield to his back and adding the strap and hunting horn. I wanted to place him in a winter scene, so I used a palette made up of mostly blues, grays, and browns. The base is simple, but I still tried to tell a story with it. This guy is out hunting, but he's not after an animal.
