The Walrus And The Carpenter - Oyster Time!

Lewis Carroll (from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872, read the full poem here http://tinyurl.com/co3p) Ever since reading this fantastically weird Poem and seeing some adaptations of what might be the strangest characters in the history of written stories I knew that I had to make a version of 'The Walrus' and 'The Carpenter' eventually. Two Miniatures seemed especially suitable to be converted into what my vision was: 'Kahar' and 'Alphonse Danlta' from Figone. They are wandering on the fine line between Fantasy and Historical Miniatures and needed only a couple of props to change into their designated roles. The Water Base is lit from below. For this I used a small LED Christmas Decoration Chain. Tinfoil reflects the light and creates the illusion of extra depth. The Water shimmers misteriously and covers the scene and characters softly with coloured light. Since one never can be certain of his or her exact whereabouts in Wonderland, the signpost is slowly spinning along it´s own axis. Only 'Up!' is always more or less defined: It marks the way Alice entered the Wonderland, falling down the Rabbit Hole.
