This was a practice LOTR mini for a local painting contest (the Heroes of the West set). I tried a little different technique for doing the "ring" base, which I do for all of my LOTR minis these days. It had been so long since I had last used regular metallic paints! All of the off-white colors are different. Some are warmer, some are cooler. GW Graveyard earth was very handy on the end of the staff.
