Firestorm Armada - The Directorate Patrol Fleet

This fleet contains: - 1 Eliminator Class Battleship - 3 Abraxas Class Cruisers - 4 Nemesis Class Destroyers - 8 Liquidator Class Frigates - 4 Hostility Class Drones My first experiments with luminescent paint. All blue lights were painted with luminescent paint, as well as the yellow parts of the engines of the Liquidator Frigates.

Hi Castles, thank you for the kind words. I started the lighted parts by using white base coat, then airbrushed the luminescent color with a wide spread until the right saturation was reached. (I had to redo this part sometimes as the light ended up too bright for the slightly gloomy colors of the rest of the ship) After that, washing with a bit of the color and a bit of ArmyPainter Strong Tone Wash and a lot of water, and finally drybrushing with a near white mix of the luminescent color to highlight the edges. There might still be better ways to do it though. Another sidenote: The hue of the shine of the luminescent colors mixes unexpectedly well when airbrushing it with a wide spread. (See the tiny green edges on the Frigates where the blue and yellow shine intersect)
