Ambush - - Painted for Crystella 33
I ran a small and fun based competition last year and Crystella33 was one of the two winners. Her "prize" was that I would paint a miniature of her choosing to the best of my ability. This was an absolute delight to work on the Vignette is superbly sculpted and fits together beautifully. It has a real combination of textures to make any painter "Up his Game" and I found it to be a real enthralling undertaking. The Goblin and his 'Partner in Crime' are real examples of making a painter think how to get light right on a complex piece. It even made me do a Step by Step thread in the forums, which is something I'm not very good at. It'll be leaving my temporary custody shortly to return to Crystella33.....But I couldn't resist buying a copy for myself!
