Lt.Col Robert Blair

In case anyone hasn't heard of "Paddy" Mayne, he was one of the founders of the original Special Air Service (S.A.S) in World War II. There are many 'Legends' about him being a Firebrand of an officer, but whatever the stories told about him one thing stands out above all he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O) Four Times. (And he also was awarded the Legion D'Honneur and a stack of other medals) I got this bust from Mitch's Military Miniatures back in January 2014 and worked him up in time for that years Salute Competiton, using Standard Vallejo Acrylics and tones added by careful application of Pastels and sealing same with Dullcoate.
