My first try EVER

This was my first shot at any kind of sculpting ever, so please be kind. Any suggestions are aprechiated

I'm giving you a 7 for your first attempt :) I agree with the earlier comments, but I like the cocky pose :) Check the sculpting articles for more info :)

The best thing you can do (besides befriending an experienced sculptor) is to get a really good anatomy book. It doesn't need to be for scultping though, one for drawing is okay as long as it shows you wheree all the muscles are and the "correct" proportions for figures. Faces are really hard though, the next best thing to do is make another one, then another and another. The more you do the better you will get. Each time you make one you will see something (like a technique) that will work, or you can do, better. Jammy natural talent helps too.
