Sauron on Throne (Classic)

I think this is a Grenadier miniature, but I'm honestly not sure as it came to me unpackaged and in a terrible state that wasn't improved when my dog (very briefly) got hold of his legs before I assembled it. Anyway, some re-sculpting was necessary. EDIT - Turns out it's an ancient Citadel Miniature. Thanks, Graham! There isn't a lot to recommend this ancient interpretation of the Throne of Mordor (and the Eye of Sauron), but I was really pleased with just how creepy I managed to make it. This is the Sauron of nightmares - an oozing, corrupt presence in the mind of Men - rather than the more physical Lord of Darkness(TM) portrayed in the movie. Whilst, on balance, I prefer the physical version from GW, there's certainly something to be said for this interpretation. Part of a large commission.
