Drakon-Sul - Sidhe Swordsman

This here is Drakon Sul. He's an Elf and he's dead hard. Apparently. Anyhow, he has got a big sowrd so I'm not going to argue with him. I wanted to give sky earth nmm thing a go and thought that this was the perfect guy to try it out on... little did I realise that i would have been better off with a first subject with marginally less armour. Still I am absolutely delighted with the result, and I think that the Onyx blade and the knotwork on the cloak came out well too :) As always constructive criticism and general non inflamatory comments are welcome :)

I beg to differ... the horizon definately NEEDS to follow the contours of the armor. Curved surfaces wreak havoc often when painting SE NMM. Just like a cylinder has a horizon running along it's length, a curved breastplate would have a curved horizon. Anyhow, the paintjob itself is pretty killer, though the SE is wrong in a couple of spots... Cool chainmail especially :D - Glyn

The SENMM is done really cleanly here. For a first go especially. The only thing I noticed are the angles of the horizon line. They should always be Parallel to the horizon. Here, you have done them in alignment with the armor. Keep in mind that the horizon should always be straight across and not bend with the shape of the armor. Still looks good though, I'd be pretty stoked if I could do this.
