Techun, Mage Knight

Hey guys, This was a recent attempt to improve the quality of Mage Knight figures. The model was reconstructed into a kneeling pose from a sitting pose. The Dragonfly was painted using oil paints, and one of my first attempts using oils. All comments welcome, as I'm trying to improve my oil technique. Thanks, - Jeffrey Stenzel

Hardware-store acetone will easily dissolve the paint on Mage Knight figures without harming the mini, but becareful, I have no idea how toxic the dissolved paints are. Also, the clix bases are of a different plastic than the mini and dissolve in acetone. Also, the paint-free mini will soak up acetone and become rubbery, but will revert back to its hardened state after the acetone slowly dries out (even from under coats of primer and acryllic).

OK, so it doesn't look fantastic, but you probably did the best with what you had (Mage Knight, blech!) and the banner is pretty inventive.

Hey, I like the look! Only if the phot was better. :( I've tried to improve a few MageKnight figures myself, check out my page to see them, I just found out that you can strip them of the factory paint if you soak them in drano for a few days. I've tried everything else, and I just got lucky with the drano. It works, but remove them from the base first.
