The problem is that the base needs some attention and the paint on the mini is a little to clean, needs more blending and highlight...

It's already a nine, I think, and frankly I think pretty bases are WAY overrated. The artist focuses on the figure itself, so the viewer isn't distracted by foo-foo stuff at the bottom of the figure. Not every miniature requres a setting.
