Hey MamaGeek, thanks for the feedback! Can you tell me what you mean by uniting colour scheme? I spent a lot of time staring at colour wheels and thinking about the range of colours in this mini -- do you mean using fewer colours?
The freehand is very ambitious, and well-done, though on the back it could follow the curvature of the cloak better. You have great technical ability, shown by smooth blending, effective NMM, and the clear liquid bottle. The OSL is a nice touch. You've really put a lot of things together in one miniature here.
Critically, you are lacking a uniting color scheme. Next time try picking a palette before you start, then stick to it. That will help to tie all of the elements together better.
And I really do like this piece. I wouldn't have bothered to comment at all if I didn't. It is striking and artistic. Keep up the good work!
