Komet ME-163B
Entry: ME-163B Komet Scale: 1:32 Manufacturer: Meng Background: I wanted to give the impression that the plane was left to the elements for only a year or so after the war ended. Many aircraft were simply pitched into the woods for hiding or were forgotten about. This scene takes place in the fall just before winter and just before any further scrapping, graffiti or elements of nature could truly cause havoc on the aircraft. It was a great build and it was certainly a challenge to get into as I started a mere 8 weeks before the original due date of April 1st for a model competition held by a great military model group that I am part of. For my first plane, it was a great build, but looking back I would have done some things differently. Thanks to everyone who provided great feedback along the way.
