I-Kore CELTOS Arianrhod on sculpted base by James

Well, the first time I tried to post this, the picture was really fuzzy. Hopefully this is better. I tried to make this figure more representative of the Celtic Goddess Arianrhod, who is the Goddess of the heavens, controlling the stars. This was also my first try at making a small diorama where the figure could be removed for game play. All in all, a lot of logistical challenges! The NMM was done a bit darker to reflect the mood of the image, and to simulate the 'obsidian' spear. You can see the painting that inspired my paint job on this figure on my website.

So good I hate myself (but I'm really new at painting, so that happens a lot). Terrific NMM! Interesting difference, though, between the two photos - the inset image angle removes a bit of the NMM effect. Maybe that's just the way NMM works in different lights - I'm too inexperienced to understand NMM completely.

Holy cow! That's great! Mini looks a lot like Cher though ...

The miniature is fabulous - the NMM on the bird and the breastplate is really eye-catching. I think the starscape detracts from the miniature.
