Mephiston

My second effort in object-source lighting. While the technique used didn't really differ from my first, my color selection and miniature did, and I am very happy with the results. I think the color scheme really compliments Mephiston both as a model and as far as storyline. For some reason, my camers really took issue with the color scheme and I spent alot of time adjusting the color balance to get it as close as possible to the real thing.

Thanks for the comments. Rachel, the lighting effect is much more distinct and the sword is much brighter in person. My digital camera really played havoc with the colors on this one (it seems to hate reds!) so this is as close to the real colors as I could get. I'll keep messing with the pics and see if I can get a better one posted. Thanks again for the input.

Maybe stronger highlights?

I think he looks really good, but I can't see the light-sourcing very well - is it supposed to be coming from the sword? in the bottom pic it looks like there might be a little light from that direction, but in the front pic it's not so obvious. Larger pics might help, but the sword itself doesn't actually look like a light-source - it looks dark like a regular object.
