Personally i think this is a _very_ fine example of 'realistic nmm' and a very effective way to paint nmm, i may have to steal it for my own :)
To be more specific, i really prefer the way you've done the highlights compared to the traditional 'cartoony' way of painting whole panels in opposite directions...
I personally feel this has a much better overall effect and makes this look like real 'metallic paint' as is used on showcars for example...
The OSL on the gun is also good...
To be critical though, i'm not a fan of the sword, at all... and i think the red tabard distracts/lessens the scarring done on his face... and the base is not (imo) at the same level as the painting...
Again though, the actual pink/gold armour nmm is excellent.
