Thank you for the comment. I feel like I'm taking a lot of shots but not getting any feedback so thanks for sharing. Its cool though.. these guys are pretty rough. I've got some much better stuff coming down the pipe if I can get where I can take a decent photo of them. Ill definitely take a look at the resources you recommended. Thanks again.
Thin your paints my man and go on the wip forums and you'll see how people use thinned paints. It will def help. Thanks for the comments on my gallery. I will share with you some important tips that have helped me along the wAy. 1) look up reapers website " let it flow, the art of the craft." It will show you how to achieve such smooth details. Get some flow improver and paint retardent( I use reaper they make a good one,as well as p3. Windsor Newton ) etc. and ratio it 1:1:1improver , retardent, paint drop( or blob of paint if you don't have dropper bottles) . Look up that article and get use to working with thinned paint. Once you get the hang of it you'll then be able to lay in shadows over and over in layers until it builds up in transparent layers and ultimately blends itself(look up on YouTube . Juicing : ultimate blending. This video will show you how to shade and highlight with very thinned paints. If you want another way to achieve subtle highlight you can look how to blending g tutorial on the studio mcvey it will show another technique on smooth transitions by the use of thinned paints. Before all the good stuff try getting used to working with thinning the paint .
