It is all very flat. His post is hips square to shoulders with no turn at the waste and head straight forward. His arms looks as if he is strolling rather than fighting. The colors are well-shaded but not highlighted well (or if they are, the photo does not show it). Overall, the painting is very red/orange. Consider some contrasting colors (like greens, purples or blues) to break up the tone.
