Grenadier Dragon Lords -- Red Dragon, Dragon of the Month Series I

Well, ok, it's not red. Still, here's my first real effort as a novice; I'm sure it shows! I'd be grateful for any constructive suggestions for improvement for my next one! Thanks for taking a look!

I like it! You are a better painter than I am, so I can't provide any constructive criticism... The only think I could think of was adding a pupil/slit to the eye to make it look more "alive". I like your wings a lot, you did a good job with the dark to light blue fade out.

Great advice, Blood! My highlighting is definitely one area where I need lots of work. The good news is I have a whole stash of these old Grenadier dragons to practice on! Stay tuned, they'll pop up here over time. Most of the paints I'm using right now are the Vallejo GameColors, but I think I have the sense of what you're talking about. Thanks for taking the time and for the great suggestion!

If youde like to make a more attractive looking dragon here's a small tip.this is just advice on what IDE do , your rendition is still a great piece of work. That being said take a little Deneb stone or rampart flesh and add that increasingly more and more as you highlight . I've said this for two reasons. One) mixing in a uniform color with everything (from scales to nails) you'll have cohesiveness. 2) I've chose a cool color(more towards blues or grey) so it keeps the overall cool tones and highlights that coincide with the cool colors you've mostly used. Great work nonetheless less!
