You have a fantastic camera. Try thinning down your colors a bit more. Start each section with a darker version of the color that you are going to make that item. Then using the tip of your brush stroke layers and layers of thinned out brighter colors (keep diluting and making it a little brighter each time you apply a layer. Let us still see the darker color in the crannys and places where shadow is important.
If you are not working with a quality paint that layers well like vallego you are going to have trouble getting good layers.
You mossy base is nicely done. I love the way the stones look like aged sandstone and you have some creeping moss.
