Castellan (Blood knight of the Vampire Counts)

Hi this is my latest miniature. I like very much the dynamic pose of the horse so I wanted to emphasize it by adding an arcing piece of mud and the hoof prints on the ground. I wanted to keep a simple palette of dark red. I had fun with the nicks and scratchs on the armour and I had the chance to train with blending on it and on the horse reins. From the photo it is not clear, however the sword has a purplish tone. I like the final effect, I think that I'll use it again in the future. I hope you like it. Comments are very welcome as always ;).

Lovely paint job! areas that I really liked were the cloth on the horse, the fur coat and the wet blending on the shield. I think The base could be improved a little ( it looks a little like cake) and also the metals. Still a neat and inspiring paint job :)
