Thank you for your instructive comments...There is no error on the title (NOW HE'A GOOD DRAGON) is exactly how it is supposed to read...did not want the title to read proper English grammar. I did not want to have fresh wet looking blood on the ground, axe or the dragon. I also did not want the dwarf to be covered with splattered blood (so this image is after he has washed/cleaned up and the blood has dried)...I kept the red blood color for (viewing emphasis)...it should actually be dark red/brown to red/black.
@Slawol: The title can work in English as a speech depiction of someone using a dialect or poor grammar. I too painted this "Classic" little vignette years ago and gave it to a friend as a "Leaving/Promotion" present. Last I heard she still has it on her desk. Wish I'd got two at the time.
Hahaha, good dragon is a DEAD dragon, right :D But I think you have a mistake on this sign (HE'A GOOD instead of HE'S A GOOD). I painted this model long time ago and it's really rare mini :) I like the scene and I like the dragon's ear, but there is more to do: blood on the axe is really flat and matt - you can paint it with some GW Red Ink or Taimiya Clear Red or mix red colours with black and paint some darker spots. And at the end coat this with Humbrol 35 gloss varnish. It will be looks more natural and realistic. What else... more shadows on the slayer's skin, mode highlits on his boots, maybe some pijnk/red on his nose. Dragon's teeth and horns are also flat - I propose to paint them with some layers with mix brown colour and bone or maybe wash them with GW Wash and then highlight with white or something. You can read some tutorials on GW site or just search in google or other websites :) Overall 7 from me :) Keep painting! Peace and love! :D Best regards-Slawol
