Clutch of Fear
"Thomas and Osker grinned at each other as they peered into the nest of gold, embracing the clutch of unprotected dragon eggs. Osker quickly unfolded the litter they brought to carry away the gold, but his was better, much better. The eggs were so large that they could only carry one, but that one was worth morth than the entire gold hoard. The two carefully lifted the litter. Suddenly, a huge shadow swept across them. A keening shriek ripped the air. As their blood turned cold, the two thieves found themselves in the Clutch of Fear." This is Ral Partha's Clutch of Fear. I originally bought this piece in 1985 but didn't paint it until about 1998. I built the base from scratch to look as if the dragons nest was on a hill. Then I painted the dragon in a bright and reptiallian fashion. In 2005 I entered this piece in the Gencon Indy painting competition. It placed third in the diorama category. I love these old Ral Partha dioramas because they always reflected the game in the pieces so well. Hope that you like my dragon. Comments are always welcome.
