There are a number of things that hit me as 'not right' with this bust. I think that the proportions are slightly off and that the skin is too smooth on the sculpt. But the main issue I have with the painting is the eye. The Sclera (white) on most Europeans isn't white, it's closer to Vallejo Ivory, plus in the corners close to the eyeducts is usually tinged with a pink due to the amount of tiny blood vessels. Add in that the iris of the eye is just one colour here and it looks 'wrong'. I also find that the skintone is too much the same colour without variations and just appears flat and lifeless. I'm sorry usually I see stuff from Ichban Studios and am impressed and inspired, but this one just doesn't work for me.
