1/35 Dragon Models Smart Kit -- with a milled barrel, milled shells, and brass detailing for the helmet interiors. The cracked leather was accomplished with several layers of Vallejo crackle medium and several thin washes with white Testor's enamel.

Thanks for the comments - always appreciated. The cracked leather is actually something I'd been waiting to try for a long time - and I'm glad it worked out on this model. I'll do it differently next time but I'm still VERY happy with the result.

That old leather saddle is marvelous. Great usage of 'cracked-paint effect', very realistic, and frankly, I would have never thought of doing it that way.
