Uba Spirit Armor - Sakura Wars - Wave

Again, following the "what I did before minis" thread, this is my latest completed item. I plan on using a lot of these techn. on some upcoming Ork Dreadnoughts/Kans. The cast iron texture was made by bouncing a dremel bit at a medium speed off the surface. The weapons needed to be scratch-built so I built one and resin cast the other. These Japanese kits are fully pose-able (almost toys really) so I also loaded up the "shoes" with lead shot, making it bottom heavy...makes it possible to hold lots of neat poses. Not really a mini but the techniques will be useful. Thanks for your consideration and any comments you may have.

I really like what you've done with this model kit, and now that i think about it, it would really make a good ork dreadnaugt or just a good sci fi fig to use in a game. also you did a great job painting this mech, you did the anime justice!

Thanks for the comments. @Impernouncable - this kit is from a Japanese firm called "Wave". Try www.HLJ.com, search under the company "Wave". Koubu-Kai is the same "model" as mine. The Koubu F is a newer variant. The model stands about 4" tall. I bought mine in Japan...they were clearing out this model and I bought it for $3.00 US...a bargain! @ No Such Agency - Thanks, I was in fact studying reference books on Tractors...you have a very keen eye!
