Comments are always appreciated! So thanks guys...I'm thinking maybe washing down the edge lighting with some blue ink a bit, but leaving the lightning as they are now...thanks for the advices.
Don't agree with the 6 he gave you but do agree that the edge highlights (though well done) take away from the lightning bolts. In reality the recess's next to edges would be darker. Perhaps instead of highlighting the edges you shade them and go darker than the prime color??? Suggestions aside its a great looking paint job...
Not a fan of the edge highlights because they are really thick and super bright. It takes away from the lightning. I assume you are trying to do it like GW does. Their edge highlights are really fine, if you have the newest Chaos Codex check out p. 74 the chosen with lightning claws. Or you can wash the edge highlights before painting on the lightning - it will look much better.
