BEFORE AND AFTER Alyscia of the Forest

This is one of the first fantasy minis I'd ever painted. Recently, I stripped the old paint off of her and gave her a face lift. I think she's improved drastically. Please let me know what you think! Oh yeah, and I must have gotten a bad cast because her bottom right hand is indeed a ball, and being incompetent with sculpting, I didn't even try to fix it. Oh well... P.S. When rating this, please rate the AFTER picture. LOL Thanks!

OK, the new paintwork is a 100% improvement vs. older paintjob. However, much like me you need to work more on blending and highlighting. The freehand work is great also.

Definately a drastic improvement here! I'm not scoring her quite so high as everyone else because I know from your other miniatures that you can do much smoother skintone transitions than you did on her. :) Her lips are definately much better on the 2nd one, but I feel like they are perhaps a little bit too big for my taste. Also, I think her eyes could benefit from some blacklining, especially along the bottom. Finally, I'd again point out that the metallics lack depth and it's probably time to start working on that, since everything else is so much better. Great color choices, btw. I like how you mixed the red-and-green on the second one by giving her ruddy flesh and reddish hair, while leaving all the cloth and her tattooes in green. Great, steady hand on the tattoes, too. *jealous*

Thanks for all of the kind comments everyone. :) To answer your question, Wren, I painted her the first time about 3 1/2 years ago.
