Thanks guys!
@Cessar:
I agree with you, Cessar, I took this picture just to see how it looks straight from laser cutter. I am painting it right now, but its a pain to do all the lattice structure nicely. The burnt parts absorb so much paint.. Should have primed the thing before assembling. Also, I cant sand it because I cant disassemble it :D the joints I designed are so tight that I would break something if I tried to take it apart.
Yea, Plywood sucks. The cutting service I ordered this didn't have any MDF at that time and for a prototype using acrylic sheets is a bit too expensive. (if I did any mistakes..) Although, I think I should just go with it now, cause it would look deadly.
@Star Forge Smith:
LOTR concept art was my inspiration, as well as some 2D game buildings. This reminds me to watch the actual movie :) Thanks
You should probably work on giving it a proper finish. Either paint it, or cover with some form of texture. Becouse right now it just looks like cardboard cutouts.
That said, the construction itself is impressive. Very elven design, reminds me of the sets of Jackson LOTR movies.
very intricate cutting done there, the only thing constructive i can say is i think it would look better with a good (careful) sanding to finish it off nicely. Lot of work involved in this well done.
