The painting is really pretty good and the sepia tone turned out really well. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the massive knot in the plinth - at least with this man and his dog. It really distracts the eye, particularly with the glare from the varnish, and disrupts the composition. Would be an 8 from me otherwise :(
