Thanks! I keep trying to find the balance between too much contrast and too much blending. Good thing trial and error is fun!

The mini is cleanly painted but is lacking in terms of contrast. You need to work the highlights and shading more. I don't think the direct lighting is helping you either. Try bouncing the light off a sheet of paper to get a more diffuse feel.
