This is a really good attempt if you've just started. Advice? work on the bases, they can make a world of difference. Paint a good figure and mount it on a poor base for speeds sake and it can ruin the effect. As for the painting, the figures look ok, you've tried for depth. The launcher itself looks too 2d. Paint looks too thick. Mistake everyone makes when first starting out is....wood is brown, metal is grey etc etc. Take a look at real wood and you'll find its different colours and textures. Try washes to tone up or down. But still real good for a new painter. My best advice: keep going and learn from your mistakes. Pretty soon you'll find your style and your own way. Best of luck.
