Ultramarine #001

This is the first completed model of my arduous restoration project. Took around 3 days (I'm a slow painter) to complete and I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

No offense taken kevinholcomb, I appreciate the advice, I actually did use all the colours you mentioned but perhaps it didn't come out as prominently as it should have. Otherwise, I shall definitely try washing the recesses with badab black and thinning the lines on the oath as you suggested, oh, and thanks for the compliment regarding the base :)

I believe you need to wash recesses with badab black. Also, use thinner lines on your oath of moment papers. Stone base looks great. Work some orange into the eyes, near the middle. Wax needs to be blood red and scab red - washed in some brown wash. Black badab wash the bolter. Really just my 2 cents. Please - no offense - just humble suggestions from a rookie...

Thanks Magpie_Oz, your comment and rating is much appreciated, though the photography shouldn't be such a major factor *sighs*, but will try using natural light next time so that the flash doesn't impose the image so much.
