Is the face bad? I never noticed. I guess I'll have to take a look at my (unpainted) version. Anyway, I quite like the paintjob. Good colours. The base looks really sloppy though :(
The face is hidden because it was sculpted by a rhesus monkey with a toothpick. I have this mini too and I'm waiting until my skills are a little better to try painting it - I have a feeling the face will need it. As for this mini, try washing the hair with a dark brown, then highlighting with an orangey red.
Interesting model and looks like a good basic paintjob. Your score would go up quite a bit if you provided an insert of the face... Is this listed under a separate submission?
