Vampire Dread Knight
Repainted mini done some 3 years back. I've changed the previous plastic lance to the metal one, taken form the old 90's metal-plastic chaos knights box. Pinned it with the hand taken from the black knight and added some green stuff on it, to cover the skeletal fingers. The vampire itself is a GW mini - Blood Dragon. The barded nightmare is a steed form the 90's chaos lord on chaos steed, or whatever that mini was called those days. The barding plates were painted with an aid of some rocking guy's tutorial found on the web. Can't remind the name or nickname. Surely however the mini, the tutorial was based on can be found here on CMON. I guess something like chaos elf prince was it's name. Sorry to not to bother to search for it now. I guess you guys are not to read that description anyway ;) For the lazies, the summary. It was ought to look like vampire riding a barded nightmare, with an old and used armour on himself, and rusty barding plates on his mount. It's quite obvious I think, yet I write it to express the image I wanted to serve. The idea is to imagine the sound made by his mount, while being claded with all those iron plates and rusted chains. So, it's mainly about the rhytmic sound of it's iron hooves, and all those chain parts adding the additional effect. Done. No more blabber.
