Just a quick fun paint job to help brake up some of the bordom of commission army painting. Converted using the Sanguinary sprues and the plasma gun armour from a assault marine re-sculpted to match the style of the rest of the armour. I always like doing red though It seams I still need to work on shading it a little darker so it looks as good in pictures as it does in person. Had the same issue a little with the face here he is super pale so the lighting washed it out :( Enjoy and constructive comments always welcome ^_^

Nice paintjob, especially on the gold. The way he's stepping off the ruin does look a bit silly though. :)

Hi thanks for the comments here is how I did the gold. Going to give you the GW colors though I use the Vallejo modle color versions for all but the washes those I use the GW. Base coat Snake bite leather, Highlight Bubonic brown then up to bubonic and white. Shades Vermin brown, darkflesh and some black wash here and there to even out or get really dark when needed. All of which wash done useing this method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY911xa_xOI The GW washes work really nice when put on like he is doing with the paint here. though you dont need to use the paper towel for the washes just the paints. The washs you can just rense your brush and feather it out when needed.

Really nice clean colours, good work. I agree the red needs a bit more shading to make it really pop. some areas need a bit more shadow, like the top of the back of the foot. Really like your gold, what colours did you use for that? Happy painting! Adam
