Thor_knightmodels artbox 2

artbox for knightmodels. i tried to achieve a sweet smooth effect, to try to enjoy my work on thgis piece based on marko djurdjevik's master artworks.. this time i tried just to focus myself into the thecnical work. after a lot of time investigating and testing some new effects. the richful colours and NMM that provides the piece a very caartoonish looking made me enjoy very much this miniature. i tried some new paints that worked very well on it. i am specially satisfied with the silver armour where i had to take special attention to the perfect blendings considering how the light affect to those volumes each liuttle piece of the armour one by one.. i did a studi of the gradient of light becoming from the source light and trying to achieve a 360 convincing effect i hope that you like it. enjoy best regards

I understand perfectly, thats a great explanation. I painted another space marine and tried to achieve a more realistic flesh colour like you said. At the end of my last mini everything became clear and I realised even more the importance of basic volumes, it's still something I'm not not good at. I have to make that my main focus for now I think. I've been studying your work, especially Iron man to see how light affects different shapes and surfaces, It's a great help. Regards.

dont be worroed , that effect will be normal until you control the exact quantity of water..probably is nota qeeuestion of how much water is in the mixture instead of how much mixture you leave in the brush.. after taing paint from the palette you must leave the brush in an absorbent paper so the superfluous mixture is left there.. i dont knwo how to express it .. sorry.. but take the concept. then the movement of the brush shuld be regular and with the brush hair plain or semi-plain in the direction of the dark colour (thats not true..i do in every direction i want ) but in the beggining do it like this and it will be easier for u... when you control the thecnic you will do it smoother.. it is practice and time. believe me. anyway. IN MY OPINION.. the thecnique it ios secondary,, the main and most important thing it is the conceptual understanding..if your brain is working your hand will do it soon or late. but it will. thanks for your words, i am only a sincere person that loves to paint. but it is a great feelimg to know that someone is inspired by my words in the other side of the world..it means that it has sense. thanks.
