Jack the halloween scarecrow
"Hmmmph Hmmmph !" (not easy to talk with a pumpkin instead of a head) My first resin model, and wow I have to say I'm impressed by the level of details there is ! A great model to paint, with possibilities to make very different color schemes. I had some troubles rendering rust, I first tried with some inks, but it seemed too flat, so I took and old citadel "Tin bitz", and it went pretty nicely (to my opinion). I tried to make as if light came from the lamp, but I didn't have the courage to tint everything in yellow (miss Victoria would have done it with both fingers in the nose but I'm not her, bouhouhou, too sad...). What is really troublesome is that I can only work with artificial light which creates a few disappointments. It's like "hey, yes, I'm the best, it looks sooo goooood, it's soooo smooth", but once in the daylight, it's "... uerk..." Maybe in fact models are like vampires, they are meant to be in the dark. One detail: the little monster. Ho, cute, but a hell to paint as all his back is part of a sculpting miracle. You know, it's the perfect exemple of spots where a brush can't go, but your eyes can see it all. That's not funny AT ALL. Thanks to u4-welcome for the pictures Have fun, and like they say in my swamp: "Don't ever mess with a pumpkin-headed guy" (tell me whether I should try to do direct light from the torch or not, I'm afraid to mess it up)
