Hi all, This was painted for a friend. Very enjoyable model to paint. The color concept was heavily inspired by the Red Sonja character. The model is an Andrea Miniatures one, and the base comes from Scibor Monstrous Miniatures. I reviewed the miniature on my blog, so you can check it out. I will soon be writing a quite complete tutorial about it for my blog, but now you can read about how I painted the shield for her. Shady Character

This is my first 10 I have ever given. Tbh, I very nearly gave it a 9, it isn't perfect, the nnm axe is a little too shiny, it is jarring compared to the mostly dull (in a good way) rest of the mini. Also some layering apparent as well as the shading a tad unnatural. But all that is nitpicking, very impressive model. I want to emulate your results. It really does give the impression of classic fantasy imagery. Also, THANK YOU for the tutorial. I been keeping an eye on your stuff to see exactly how you do your skin,
