Tau XV-89 Crisis Battlesuit

Hi all, This was a commissioned job, and an interesting one I must say. The idea was to break free from the usual way of painting Tau models, and to paint it more in a military model style. Still I didn't want to go for totally flat painting and rely on natural light to create chiaroscuro, so I added my own touch to the concept ;) The model is a Forge World one, and the base comes from a Kabuki Models miniature. If you want to read an illustrated step-by-step tutorial, you can find it on my blog: Painting Mum. There's also a detailed tutorial about making the base for the model, and a few more articles about it. Bigger and better pictures are available as always in my gallery at ChestOfColors.com. I accept commissions. If you are interested in having me paint something for you, contact me at: webmaster@chestofcolors.com All comments are welcome. I hope you like my works! -- Aña

Great painting again, Ana. Wonderful work on the green light and shadows and the weathering. I adore your skills and love these little lamps all around. Seems like people running a well known blog have to struggle with their ratings these days, but don't you care and get a bad mood from. This ain't the way happy painting goes! You do happy painting and i am thankful for the efforts and your time you put in your cool blog! Experience in our Hobby only grows from sharing and there are not many who do the way you do! Don't you bother about what people think, they don't do it very often :) - Keep on happy painting! Best Regards Roman
